Frequently asked questions about Computer Science Programme

  1. What is difference between the CS Programme and IT, IS programmes (for undergraduate programme)

Computer programme is one of the three current educational programmes in our faculty (CS, IT, and IS programmes). They shares the common subjects and some IT subjects in general.

The required subjects in the CS programme focuses on providing knowledge about AI, NLP, intelligent processing for some specific data domains such as text, voice, image, multi-media, bioinformatic. By this approach, students have a good backround knowledge in order to study in the higher level (Master and PhD.).

The list of elective subjects includes several courses about several fields in IT such as software engineering, computer network and communication, information systems, etc.

Most of courses in CS programme are teached in English.

  1. What are requirements for CS students? (to be a CS student)

After passing the enter examination, students are introduced for applying to the CS programme. A committee will decide based on the obtained grade from the examination and english level of each student.

  1. What are requirements for granduating the CS programme?
  • Averge grade from 2.5/4.0
  • English score about IELST 5.5 or equivalence
  • Write and defense your thesis in English
  1. During studying the CS programme, can I chose any subject of IT and IS programmes?

CS, IT, and IS programmes share the some common subjects and IT subjects in general. You can chose them.

  1. If I study in CS programme, Have I have to learn every subjects in English?

Most of courses in CS programme are teached in English. Check the course schedule for each semester for more details.
