2. Training Objectives

The Computer Science Training Program of the Faculty of Information Technology, VNU-University of Engineering and Technology aims to produce high-quality human resources in the field of computer science, research capabilities and working in large corporations on Information Technology in Vietnam as well as other countries in the region.

2.1. Knowledge

• Graduates are trained with modern knowledge systems and, in line with the advanced training programs in the world.

• Provided with general knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, and foreign languages.

• Provided with Knowledge in computer science platform as the basis of mathematics in computer science, programming, data structures, and algorithms, information theory, compilers, artificial intelligence. For in-depth knowledge of the industry, focusing intensive training oriented "intelligent systems" and "human-machine interaction" as well as natural language processing, machine learning, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, speech processing, image processing, computer interaction, game programming.

• Overview knowledge in the IT software engineering, databases, computer networks, computer architecture through high rates of selected subjects with the number of subjects extensive selection.

• Student training is focused on programming skills with various languages, advanced programming environment, the high proportion of practice and practical application exercises.

• Students are trained to improve English to be able to update their knowledge and work in the global IT environment in the world.

 

2.2. Capacity: graduated students have

• Good logical thinking, creative ability to solve specific application problems. self-learning ability to grasp the technology, tools, new skills in software development.

• Ability to work with high-level programmer position for companies to develop software and systems of domestic and foreign companies. Particularly suitable for the position in the field requires modern technology and innovation as the development of intelligent systems, human-machine interaction.

• Ability to work in various positions in the agencies in the development and application of IT in the country.

• Students are trained with knowledge and some background thematic depth in computer science; having many advantages in learning to master's and doctoral branches of computer science and become researchers, university lecturers .
