Tóm tắt: In this talk, I will present the brief history of cognitive computing and its potential applications. I then present several representative research results we had in the domain of cybersecurity.

Tiểu sử ngắn: Long Vu received his undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2001. He received his Ph.D. at the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois in 2010. His research interests include measurement, characterization, and modeling of distributed networked systems, including mobile peer-to-peer networks, multimedia peer-to-peer streaming systems, large-scale enterprise networks. His recent research has been applied data mining/machine learning in cybersecurity and healthcare. He has published 25 technical papers that were cited more than 800 times (source Google Scholar). Tools developed in his research were downloaded more than 2000 times from 50 countries around the world. He is the recipient of the Mark Weiser Best Paper Award (IEEE Percom 2011). His research results were reported by popular media press such as New Scientist, Mail One London, Yahoo! News, etc. Long Vu is currently a research scientist at the IBM T. J.
