Panasonic R&D Center Vietnam – a wholly subsidiary of Panasonic Vietnam – established in April, 2007, having its head office and laboratories on 12A floor of Viglacera Tower at No.1 Lang-Hoa Lac Road, Me Tri, Tu Liem, Hanoi, with the aims at enhancing research and development activities in digital home appliances in Vietnam, designing & developing Software as well as strengthening global software development competence. It is now looking for potential candidates to join its Panasonic Hanoi Laboratory with the following job scopes and job requirements:

| DTV Engineers(Digital TV – Code: PHNL01) | 1-5 positions |
| * Research and development in: – Advanced digital TV or mobile broadcasting technologies – Embedded software & middleware for DTV,MHP, or multimedia products |
* Knowledge in: – Multimedia, DTV/mobile broadcasting ; – MPEG4, MPEG2, DVB, MHP, OCAP; – C/C++, Java; embedded software; – Linux OS |
| LSI HW Engineers(LSI Hardware – Code: PHNL02) | 1-5 positions |
| * Research and development in: – Hardware architecture design of advanced LSI for multimedia and communications. – Embedded (micro code level) applications in Panasonic specific media processors. – Advanced solutions for Panasonic System LSI |
* Knowledge in: – Deeply understand computer architecture – C/C++, Asm, Perl – Verilog or VHDL – Audio/Video codec: H.264, MPEG4 or MPEG2 standards |
| ESW Engineers(Embedded Software – Code: PHNL03) | 1-5 positions |
| * Research and development in: – Embedded software and middleware (Linux Kernel, Device Driver) for CE devices. – Integrated Development Environment for Panasonic hardware and software platform. |
* Knowledge in: – C/C++, Java programming language. – Linux kernel and user space application. – Computer architecture. |
| FA Engineers(Factory Automation – Code: PHNL04) | 1-5 positions |
| * Research and development in: – Embedded software & middleware for robot, production or inspection machine – Software design of advanced Graphical User Interface for machine operation – Application software for production management and control system of the Factory |
* Knowledge in: – C/C++, .NET programming – Manufacturing technologies – Software development on Linux, Windows,Real Time operating system – Control and Image processing algorithms – Database & Network technology |
General requirements for all positions:
* Vietnamese nationality;
* Bachelor/Master or PHD degree in Electronics/Communications/Computer/Information Technology or related fields.
* Those keen in the above R&D areas and are graduating this June/July 2009
